How Tutoring Works
We offer a unique approach to working remotely via webcam, allowing parents and students to interact face-to-face via video chat software like Skype, Facetime, Facebook Messenger (and many more). For example, a parent calls the school office while talking with their child face to face and both parties can see (or hear) each other clearly via their phones. Each face-to-face interaction lasts no longer than 20 minutes. As soon as they hang up, the student logs onto Tutor One’s web portal for assignment deadlines, payment schedules, progress updates, lesson videos, Q&A sessions (if applicable), and grade transcripts. We’re committed tot he highest possible standards which explains why our customers love our service. When our students complete the required sessions successfully, they get paid immediately.

Why Hire Professional Tutors Instead Of Teaching Yourself?
Teaching oneself is great but it lacks the expertise required by schools and universities to get high marks and ultimately pass tests/exams. A good teacher knows their subject matter inside out and can tailor lessons to suit every pupil’s needs, no mean feat. For instance, say you’ve chosen History as your favourite topic. Your school offers a class full of enthusiastic and bright young pupils eager to learn something new. They love history, especially World War 2, because it explains everything else that happened since then. So you teach them about the war, and the role that Hitler had played in shaping modern day Europe. But you miss the mark. Some kid gets really interested in another historical event in Germany around 1920, perhaps the rise of the Nazis. He asks questions about Nazi ideology. “What would you say if someone told me that Adolf was going to lead the people towards purer forms of life?” he says, eyes shining as his enthusiasm builds. Suddenly, there are five other kids asking the same question. If you taught it yourself, you’d probably just tell him to watch Mein Kampf and stop wasting everyone’s time. And he’ll still ask you that exact question again next week. By contrast, a qualified teacher working under contract could easily guide them through everything, answer any queries and provide useful information along the way.
Tutor One provides teachers with training courses covering topics relevant to their area of expertise, and a robust system of support and accountability built into the online scheduling tool.

While some people end up getting great jobs through other channels like volunteering, some just stick with the gig until they find something else that pays enough. But those who find better paying gigs usually don’t keep taking short term assignments. They’re either working with kids because it’s personally meaningful and fulfilling or they’ve found themselves a career path which makes life easier.
And then there are folks like me who love tutoring but simply cannot afford to quit my regular day job. I’m currently making around $27/h and don’t expect anyone is willing to hire someone only available part-time unless he or she lives close to him or her.
So, given these circumstances, why should you spend precious few hours a week searching for tutoring positions?
Because it gives back. By helping parents get their child’s homework handled, keeping grades high means less pressure towards college entrance exams for everyone involved and most importantly keeps the student happier!
In addition, since most lessons happen after school at home, the potential pool of customers increases significantly. And although you won’t be seeing eye contact with clients during homework sessions, you’ll find yourself constantly exposed to parents and teachers who have benefited form your services in the past. Plus, being able to easily work independently lets you decide exactly when you’d be available to deliver lesson(s).
What’s more, the longterm financial rewards tend to stack up nicely.
According to Career Builder, the average hourly rate of a licensed teacher in Canada was nearly twice higher than someone outside the system earning minimum wage ($16 per hour), meaning that every extra dollar earned could translate to roughly 30 additional dollars in yearly earnings. Even among entry level teachers, pay scales vary widely and you’ll certainly see bigger differences once you hit grade 12. An experienced English language instructor could earn anywhere from $55-$75/hour depending on location and experience.
We’re always seeking passionate educators to become part of our community of dedicated teachers. If you live in the area, consider joining us today.

I’ll be glad to answer any questions you may have regarding our company and the services we provide.

What Does A Teacher Earn?
Average Hourly Salary = Average Monthly Pay
Salary Type (Fulltime / Parttime) x Number Of Hours Worked Per Week * 52.0 = Hourly Wage Paid Each Month
Hourly wage rates vary greatly across different geographic regions so we’ve listed averages for many Canadian locations below. We’ve made some assumptions regarding employment type which explains why some cities pay more than others. These numbers include both full-and part-time employees working anywhere from 35 hours per week to 60 hours per week; they represent median wages among workers of various ages and genders who work at least 12 months annually, across four broad categories according to education level and skill required. As always, these figures should only be used for estimates purposes since it varies widely from city to city. Some employers even offer bonuses and other incentives for reaching specific targets so it’s good idea to talk to local human resource representatives or head office staff in case they would be interested in hiring outside trainers for their company. They might provide additional details about job opportunities available in your region.
If you’re considering freelancing through sites like Upwork and Fiverr then you’ll probably get paid less because you aren’t guaranteed payment until completion of project and no guarantee on minimum requirements. So if you’re just starting out as a freelance writer then there really isn’t anything stopping you from earning quite well on these types of online jobs.
I decided to search other areas outside of a typical school districts catchment area near my home just to increase my chances for getting some interviews and eventually hiring me. After several failed attempts due to being local, I went through another route and started searching for tutor positions that would allow me to spend part of my breaks working towards gaining experience, building connections, while helping those who truly needs it. Since starting my journey, I am constantly learning something new everyday; and that’s exactly the goal after college.
If you are interested in finding employment as an English Language Instructional Assistant, consider these tips:
• Take advantage of your current job position and utilize your network and connections. • Research your potential employers websites, Facebook pages, LinkedIn profiles, Twitter feeds & Youtube channels that they provide information to prospective employees on. If they mention anything regarding a specific position or role at the organization, read everything carefully and take notes. Do not forget to ask friends/family members or anyone else who knows someone who has worked/worked for the company mentioned above. They are excellent sources for valuable information. Remember, they often work alongside or under managers who work closely together during recruitment & interview processes.
I started working part-time as a private tutor back in 2013 after completing my degree in Psychology and then went full force in 2016 by starting to teach English online through Skype lessons. Since 2017, I’ve worked exclusively as a private math tutor online with students in Canada and around the world.
My teaching style revolves mainly around helping people understand concepts they find to be challenging in school and life. When I’m explaining something, I’ll try to keep things lighthearted and humorous as often as possible to avoid getting too serious in class. If I sense a student isn’t enjoying the lesson, I won’t push him/her further than necessary, instead opting for a more passive approach. I believe this method helps students feel comfortable enough to ask questions without feeling embarrassed or like I am judging them. As a result, I get to see some really incredible breakthroughs in understanding occur.
If you’re interested in starting your own business or simply just making extra cash, I highly recommend looking into becoming a freelance tutor. You could work part-time hours during evenings to suit your schedule and still earn decent pay to support yourself financially.
As long as you can explain topics clearly and concisely, you should enjoy the work you put forth and be able to make a difference in someone’s education. If that sounds appealing to you, you can check out shop.tutorone.ca today to apply to become a tutor for the Coldwater area.

What we’re talking about?
There’s something unique about having a job as a tutor which has nothing to do with being paid per hour. Not only does this profession take advantage of your knowledge but your personality. Your experience and expertise makes people feel comfortable around you which helps you develop friendships amongst clients who seek guidance outside of school hours. Working as a tutor gives you many different options (and ways you can promote yourself). Here are just 10 ideas of how you could go about getting great working conditions.
1. Use your skillsets differently
Working as a teacher isn’t always perfect because often you’re stuck doing work without actually seeing any real result; however, that changes depending on your skill sets and experiences. As long as someone needs assistance they can hire you. For example, you can either teach adults, young children, teach high school students or provide homework solutions. All of these positions would allow you to use your strengths through communication. Additionally, you get experience and see immediate improvements in student engagement levels. Plus, once you’ve developed relationships with parents/students/teachers, you’ll receive valuable feedback regarding how to continue improving your teaching style.
2. Build strong bonds with your current community
This part is obvious, yet it should still be stated because most teachers have no idea how beneficial reaching out to local communities is when promoting themselves. By offering discounts, workshops, seminars, presentations, or volunteering opportunities, you’d naturally attract an interested crowd. Moreover, by building personal connections, you strengthen ties and become trusted confidants of those who have hired/adopted you. Lastly, these conversations lead to other business partnerships like tutoring services, freelance writing and coaching engagements.
As part of our commitment toward excellence, we offer a full range of support options including live chat sessions with your dedicated personal instructor, email correspondence and follow-ups, video tutorials, lesson planning tools, test preparation guides, study tips and strategies, and more!
We believe in making education accessible and affordable for everyone, regardless of socioeconomic background. Our mission is to be the most trusted place where people go to learn about the topics they care about, whether through self discovery or professional development.
Our instructors come from various backgrounds but we pride ourselves in bringing together individuals who love teaching and are passionate about the subjects they teach. All of our teachers receive thorough training and certification to ensure a high level of customer service and professionalism.
TutorOne was founded in 2015 and currently employs approximately 30 educators across Canada, offering thousands of hours of instruction per week.
We are proud to say that we’ve helped tens of thousands of learners around the globe achieve academic greatness. Join our community of over 20,000 happy customers to see just some examples of the amazing things our clients have said.
The average hourly wage for CEBS is $14, or more than twice the Canadian national minimum wage rate of $6 per hour for workers aged 25 and older ($7.25). However, there’s plenty of variance depending on whether the employer provides housing and meals, and any additional responsibilities you take upon yourself. For example, a typical day might include spending an afternoon watching television; doing laundry; going for a walk around town; visiting family members or friends outside of the home; and preparing food for dinner. All told, however, the total compensation package probably averages out closer to just above the minimum wage threshold rather than significantly exceeding it. While you’ll earn less as an independent contractor versus a salaried employee employed fulltime, remember the flexibility provided by freelancing can be worth the sacrifice. On the flip side, you could potentially get stuck with higher costs, such as health coverage and transportation expenses, should you decide to purchase those services instead of shelling out for them separately in lieu of salary payments. A side benefit of freelance jobs, especially part-time gigs, includes generating income while building the personal connections required to land full-time employment down the proverbial road.
Who Should Adopt TutorOne’s Tutoring Methodology?
Every parent knows that the average public school education system has its faults, but few know that there are alternatives. Every year, parents become educated more about the effectiveness of individualizing children’s education. They understand that learning styles and learning strategies vary greatly among students and that students require additional focus and encouragement to excel, especially in subjects such as math, science, and reading. Students learn differently than adults; children absorb knowledge faster and retain it longer than adults can; and they’re less prone to procrastination. TutorOne’s comprehensive approach teaches kids to think positively, and teaches students when they don’t perform up to par.
Testimonial By A Parent Like You
"My son recently turned 15, and started taking Advanced Placement exams. He was doing quite poorly in Spanish II and English III, having scored only a 2 and 3 respectively. With one week left before he needed to take the AP test, I decided to enroll him in TutorOne Private Tutoring. His teacher had told me that he was a bright kid, but just didn’t put forth the effort required to excel. My son came home every day telling me about the amazing learning experience he was having with TutorOne. He did score a 4 on his Spanish II test, and his overall grade point average went from a 2.9 (D) to a 4.8 (A+) in Spanish, and a 1.7 (F) to a 4.0 (A) in English. Most importantly though, my son learned to love his studies and got a kick out of seeing his grades soaring. It was truly eye opening to see how one lesson per week changed everything." ~ Lisa H.,Parent, California
The TutorOne Difference
