Special Needs Tutoring Regina FAQs
There’s no better feeling than knowing someone is counting on you for assistance during their school day. It gives me immense satisfaction to deliver a lesson to ensure that my student receives maximum benefit and gains the knowledge he needs to improve his study habits. My job is made easier because I receive invaluable feedback from parents and teachers who tell me just how well lessons have gone—and how excited their child is to come back next week. Through your recommendation I am privileged enough to hear stories like these; I cherish every moment. A job is only complete after making a lasting impact in somebody’s life by giving him/her information and support they lack or are struggling with.

2️⃣If your special needs student has a medical condition, then make sure his school knows about it. If he needs medications or requires extra equipment during lunch times, just tell the staff at school. Also keep him comfortable, warm and dry whenever possible when going outdoors during winter months. He deserves the same basic rights any kid does..
3️⃣Teachers must teach his classmates as well but remember these kids often struggle academically because of language deficiencies caused due to hearing and speech impediments. Teachers must learn to communicate effectively with this group of children. Teaching Strategies that work for mainstream children won’t necessarily apply to these learners.- Some schools use the SACS model, which stands for Supports, Activities, Classroom Settings & Systems, to ensure all kids have equal opportunities of academic achievement. It involves teachers setting aside “quiet” periods for students who experience difficulties of concentrating or communicating efficiently in the classroom environment. These classes include an experienced teacher working alongside another teacher for support.-- For most special education groups, the IEP/NAAEE model is used. An Individual Education Plan (IEP), formulated on an annual basis through meetings among educators, service providers, students’ families and other interested parties determines specific educational services designed specifically for individual students. This ensures that unique learning disabilities are clearly identified and treated accordingly-- Children with some form of autism spectrum disorder generally excel once given appropriate tools and strategies to master behaviors.
We also specialize in working closely with parents to provide support during this often challenging period in childhood development.
Parents benefit from having someone they trust guiding their child’s education. They receive individualized training with a specific schedule and objectives designed specifically for their child.
We’ve found through years of working with thousands of parents across Canada that most kids thrive better when they’re able to learn alongside peers rather than in isolation. So, our teachers work alongside a classroom full of other educators to develop their curriculum. And because the majority of special education services come from outside agencies, our tutors collaborate with local schools and community partners to provide these programs for families.
This approach ensures that each student receives the attention he deserves without feeling overwhelmed. As well, this method helps ensure consistency, continuity, and quality across our network of locations.

We’re dedicated to changing this perception by offering specialized educational guidance through online sessions that maximize learning. Our tutors work closely with kids in order to develop strategies through games and exercises
While many special needs kids struggle academically, they aren’t always aware or able to effectively communicate their issues. By working side-by-side with these families, we’re able to help educate them about their individual strengths and weaknesses and then tailor lessons accordingly. We’ve helped thousands of individuals improve their reading and math abilities, strengthen study habits, learn effective communication techniques and overcome depression
If you’d like to work together but would prefer a traditional face-to-face meeting, don’t worry — our tutors cover nearly every location across Regina, including West Central Collegiate School, Wascana Academy, Holy Trinity Catholic High School, St. Joseph Elementary & Junior Public School, Regina Christian Schools, Immaculate Conception Primary School, North Park Adventist School, Rosemère International School, Saint Mary Star of the Sea College School of Business, The King Edward Memorial Hospital School Of Nursing, The University Of Regina School Of Medicine.
We believe in helping people reach their full potential through personalized and engaging teaching methods.

I would say because there’s always somebody who needs knowledge, information. So we do these jobs because we believe that people deserve good opportunities in life. Therefore we dedicate ourselves every day working hard, doing the job well, so that our customers get better services than ever before. We are proud of what we do but most importantly we love what we do.
We live and work in Regina, Saskatoon, Kelowna, Toronto Vancouver Montreal Calgary Edmonton Winnipeg Ottawa Boston New York City Washington Dc Chicago Atlanta San Francisco Los Angeles Phoenix Denver London Paris Madrid Mexico City Hong Kong Shanghai Beijing India Dubai Australia and many other cities around the globe. How Does Tutoring Work?
Each hour long session includes 30 minutes of direct interaction between you and a student. Each lesson begins with a discussion question which sets the stage; this will serve as the basis for the rest of the conversation. From there we focus on individual strengths, weaknesses, areas needing additional attention and ways they can improve. The length of each session varies, however most fall somewhere between 15-30 minute blocks. Most often clients work individually because they receive a different level of personalisation than other groups or classes would experience. When working together there is always plenty of time allocated for everyone present to interact with each other and contribute ideas about how best to approach a given subject matter. Once every session ends, students and parents get a summary detailing progress made throughout the week and information about next steps including scheduling appointments. All communications occur either via email, text message or phone call depending on client preference and access.
What Can Students Achieve Over Time?
Clients can expect gains in reading comprehension, vocabulary, problem solving and general knowledge. Because of our unique program design, students benefit significantly from these positive changes in just weeks not months or years.
Who Is Tutor One Meant For?
Students living in Saskatchewan and those travelling from afar seeking assistance for academic struggles. While we cannot guarantee the impact we can achieve for anyone outside of Saskatoon, Regina & Moose Jaw, every effort is made to deliver exceptional instruction regardless of location. If you’re interested you can apply today. We are currently accepting applications from individuals ages 18+ with a passion to teach young minds.

Who Should Adopt TutorOne’s Tutoring Methodology?
Every parent knows that the average public school education system has its faults, but few know that there are alternatives. Every year, parents become educated more about the effectiveness of individualizing children’s education. They understand that learning styles and learning strategies vary greatly among students and that students require additional focus and encouragement to excel, especially in subjects such as math, science, and reading. Students learn differently than adults; children absorb knowledge faster and retain it longer than adults can; and they’re less prone to procrastination. TutorOne’s comprehensive approach teaches kids to think positively, and teaches students when they don’t perform up to par.
Testimonial By A Parent Like You
"My son recently turned 15, and started taking Advanced Placement exams. He was doing quite poorly in Spanish II and English III, having scored only a 2 and 3 respectively. With one week left before he needed to take the AP test, I decided to enroll him in TutorOne Private Tutoring. His teacher had told me that he was a bright kid, but just didn’t put forth the effort required to excel. My son came home every day telling me about the amazing learning experience he was having with TutorOne. He did score a 4 on his Spanish II test, and his overall grade point average went from a 2.9 (D) to a 4.8 (A+) in Spanish, and a 1.7 (F) to a 4.0 (A) in English. Most importantly though, my son learned to love his studies and got a kick out of seeing his grades soaring. It was truly eye opening to see how one lesson per week changed everything." ~ Lisa H.,Parent, California
The TutorOne Difference

TutorOne is committed to the belief that every student thrives best in a positive, fun-loving, nurturing learning environment. We encourage our students to explore new ideas and engage in hands-on learning situations.
