We specialize in children ages 3yrs old plus, and adults who struggle with reading or writing. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds including those with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Dyslexias, ADHD, Aspergers, ADD...and many other disorders which affect academic ability, especially among the young. We cater specifically to these learners, but they often face issues related to dyscalculi, visual impairments, auditory processing, motor skill delays, and sensory deficits.. These learners have difficulty forming relationships. They may be nonverbal. Because communication becomes challenging, this group tends to avoid public interaction. Their behavior patterns can cause problems for teachers and administrators alike. Students who struggle academically tend to feel invisible and isolated. They may lack initiative and confidence. Most importantly, they are less able than average performers to self motivate themselves.
In addition, Creemore also hosts numerous events throughout the summer months to raise awareness amongst local schools about Autism spectrum disorders. These include presentations hosted by parents, teachers, therapists and specialists that talk with young learners about these conditions, along with the importance of early identification and intervention. Visit the Creemore website to see upcoming programs: http://www.creemoreontario.com/programs_events.

How should you go about accommodating special needs learners in schools across Toronto & Creemore, Ontario?
What types of accommodation strategies exist? And what are some common misconceptions surrounding this topic?
What do teachers have to consider during the lesson planning process when teaching special needs children/students?
Where can I get information on special needs services in the Greater Toronto Area?
Why did I write this blog post?
I personally teach at various elementary schools throughout the Greater Toronto Area and am regularly tasked with making curriculum adjustments around topics like math and reading, which are often challenging for many of my young students due to specific cognitive disabilities. As a result, I’ve had numerous conversations with educators who ask me “how do I approach these kinds of issues for this type of student?”
This is a question that most education providers struggle to answer because they aren’t necessarily equipped with the expertise required on this matter. However, there’s no reason why every educator shouldn’t be able to easily identify and address these barriers, especially since the majority of parents of special needs students already understand how to work together with school staff to develop individualized instruction schedules.
But how exactly do educators begin the journey towards developing specialized instructional programs for students requiring additional supports? Where can educators seek guidance on identifying specific areas of weakness in their classroom management techniques? What steps must take place, both inside and outside of the classroom, to ensure your efforts yield positive outcomes?
These questions, along with several other tips regarding effective methods used to support students with intellectual disabilities, are explored in greater depth below to provide insight on how education professionals can better prepare themselves to effectively tackle these obstacles head-on.
First lets go over those top five most common types of schools in Canada and which ones offer education programs specifically aimed towards kids dealing with disabilities.
1. Independent Schools
2. Public School System (Ontario Education Curriculum)
3. Charter school
4. Catholic School/Private Religious School
5. Community Service Learning Programs
Next you’ll see why having these programs makes sense for you if you’re thinking about sending your kid to a private educational institution; then you’ll get to read my personal experiences with both independent and traditional schooling. Finally, you’ll learn some of the ways that parents who send kids to either type of school feel differently than those who keep them home full-time.
I’m interested in working with you because i truly believe that every child deserves a high quality education no matter what their background is. If you’d like to work together please use the contact form here to submit your information and schedule a call. Best Regards, Kasey

What is a virtual agency?
According to Wikipedia a virtual agency /ˈvɒrbᵻljuːz/[6] is “a business model in web design [that focuses] on establishing relationships rather than contracts” — basically a freelancer or company offering websites and designing or marketing campaigns. A virtual agency could include graphic designers, video producers, writers, SEO specialists, developers, and content managers in addition to freelance agencies that focus primarily on website development.
2. Have great expectations for both yourself and the student(ren). No matter their age nor disability they deserve the same respect we all receive. Acknowledge this by taking pride in helping them be able to achieve something special.
3. Donate
4. Be positive
5. Teach them how to teach themselves. We should always strive to find ways that allow us to learn something from anyone no matter their age or status.
6. Create opportunities & experiences not just lessons
7. Be respectful when dealing with people regardless of their situation
8. Treat everyone like family because after all they are yours too.
9. Always remember that “I am my Student’s Teacher” and they are mine!
10. Never stop trying
11. If you don’t try you will fail
12. Remember that life isn’t fair but being compassionate towards those less fortunate than ourselves does make it easier to bear.
13. Find joy in the journey rather then focusing on the destination. There are many who would love nothing more than having the ability to experience some things first hand; we must provide these opportunities for them.
14. Helping children realize their full potential makes my day every single day. It could be through an activity or it could mean simply listening patiently and encouragingly without judgement.
15. Make sure you keep moving forward because the only thing constant and unbreakable is change..
16. Stay humble, work harder, stay hungry, continue to evolve.

Who Should Adopt TutorOne’s Tutoring Methodology?
Every parent knows that the average public school education system has its faults, but few know that there are alternatives. Every year, parents become educated more about the effectiveness of individualizing children’s education. They understand that learning styles and learning strategies vary greatly among students and that students require additional focus and encouragement to excel, especially in subjects such as math, science, and reading. Students learn differently than adults; children absorb knowledge faster and retain it longer than adults can; and they’re less prone to procrastination. TutorOne’s comprehensive approach teaches kids to think positively, and teaches students when they don’t perform up to par.
Testimonial By A Parent Like You
"My son recently turned 15, and started taking Advanced Placement exams. He was doing quite poorly in Spanish II and English III, having scored only a 2 and 3 respectively. With one week left before he needed to take the AP test, I decided to enroll him in TutorOne Private Tutoring. His teacher had told me that he was a bright kid, but just didn’t put forth the effort required to excel. My son came home every day telling me about the amazing learning experience he was having with TutorOne. He did score a 4 on his Spanish II test, and his overall grade point average went from a 2.9 (D) to a 4.8 (A+) in Spanish, and a 1.7 (F) to a 4.0 (A) in English. Most importantly though, my son learned to love his studies and got a kick out of seeing his grades soaring. It was truly eye opening to see how one lesson per week changed everything." ~ Lisa H.,Parent, California
The TutorOne Difference
As you are now finding out, TutorOne offers a wide variety of different levels, age ranges, and subjects to accommodate all individual learning styles. What sets us apart from other programs is our commitment to educating and encouraging each student’s individuality, curiosity, and enthusiasm for learning. TutorOne is committed to the belief that every student thrives best in a positive, fun-loving, nurturing learning environment. We encourage our students to explore new ideas and engage in hands-on learning situations. TutorOne does not believe that children benefit from being confined to a class room in front of a standard curriculum all day long.
The TutorOne Difference is about creating an engaging atmosphere in which kids feel motivated to excel. The majority of TutorOne schools operate as small academies; they offer individual learning environments that allow students to interact within a group or with one-to-one tutors.
