So why am I telling you this story when you should be getting ready for your next lesson?
To help answer that question, I’ve compiled some tips to get your children loving French. These things to consider include:
Teaching Children About Language Cultures
Children have an innate interest in everything foreign and it’s in this environment they’ll learn more quickly when compared to being isolated away from everyone else speaking a different tongue. If you teach a child that every country speaks differently then he/she will have much less trouble understanding people outside his own culture. By simply showing him examples of language differences through movies or television shows, we can expose them to the world around them in ways that allow them to understand and communicate better.
Learning Languages Outside School Time
Most parents don’t get enough breaks at work to spend quality hours practicing a foreign language. But, even if you work long shifts, it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try to find opportunities to study. Learning to read and write words, phrases, and basic grammar takes only 10 minutes per day or 30 minutes once per week.
In order to make sure that children can develop a proper command of the language, there needs to be constant use during school time. So, instead of sending homework home after class, ask teachers to assign extra reading assignments or writing exercises, allowing children to practice their skill sets during the summer months.

What Makes Us Different From Other Online Learning Sites?:
Our team includes highly skilled teachers and instructional designers working together to design engaging online materials. These unique combinations offer courses, workshops and other programs designed specifically around the needs and desires of individual learners. All classes offered through TutorOne feature live chat sessions between our educators and students allowing instant feedback to be gathered during class discussions. Additionally, tutoring takes place virtually, meaning you won’t ever be separated from support staff and instructors.
In addition to virtual instruction, some schools have opted for blended learning models where classroom environments exist alongside online learning environments with varying degrees of integration between both modalities depending on course requirements.
Why Do Students Enroll At Tutor One?:
Because we understand that each learner has different educational backgrounds, skill sets and interests. Therefore, tutoring should take place in accordance with those specific attributes. We strive to accommodate individual differences so no student feels isolated or neglected. By providing personalized attention throughout your course, we believe our clients achieve higher marks than traditional school systems where standardized education often dominates curriculum. TutorOne provides courses, workshops and other program options designed to encourage active participation, engagement and real world applications.
Why Learn French Through Private Lessons As opposed to Learning Online?
Online courses often offer a lot of choice in topics, instructors and difficulty levels.
But, by studying in person with a native speaker who knows how to teach people to speak French fluently, you’ll actually benefit from having fewer choices than ever!
Private lessons in Calgary or Edmonton allow you to focus solely on the grammar, pronunciation, verb conjugations, cultural concepts like food and fashion, among other things which really matter for effective communication!
What Makes Our Courses Unique From Other Programs?
Unlike many online courses that rely heavily on flashcards, we use a unique system called Pimsleur Language Method®. If you’d rather study privately but still receive help mastering that tricky vocabulary word or phrase -- no problem! We’ve got just for you.
In fact, after just 2 hours of practice per week, you’ll be able to understand 90% of your spoken conversations! And remember: it only takes 30 minutes to master those words and phrases every day through regular practise sessions!
And since you’re spending quality face-time learning French, you won’t find yourself struggling with boredom by simply reading textbooks or doing homework assignments.
Who Should Take Up Private French Instruction?
All ages, genders, abilities, life circumstances, and interests are welcome! But if you have specific needs or questions feel free to contact us directly for support.
We love teaching adult men and women because they tend to struggle less with the basics than younger learners. They already hold a solid base of knowledge under their belts and can usually pick up on most aspects of grammar quickly in a relatively short period of time. Plus, this age group tends to show better retention rates, particularly for verbal content.
Today, however, this small town is becoming recognized as home to one of Edmonton’s most vibrant francophone communities. Many local families enjoy living near one another, and schools like École élémentaire Jean de Brébeuf offer quality education opportunities for both English and French speakers. Whether you’re interested in exploring the nearby cities of Grande Prairie or Red Deer, our friendly bilingual staff would be happy to help find classes that suit your schedule.
We understand that finding tutors who speak fluent French can be challenging; therefore, TutorOne offers an extensive selection of teachers trained specifically to teach French language courses. Our instructors use modern methods and techniques which allow us to effectively deliver lessons tailored towards each student’ s needs. We’ve put together some tips for choosing the best French teacher for your child below.
What does it mean to be ‘qualified’? As mentioned earlier, being able to provide lesson content which meets specific educational standards is something of utmost importance; however what those standards actually entail varies depending on who sets them, how they’re implemented, etc.. For example, some people argue that having passed certain exams should qualify someone to offer lessons, but these examinations aren’t necessarily representative of everything that needs to go into becoming a French teacher. They could include subjects like history, literature, grammar, culture, geography, etc. and many factors play into whether or not somebody becomes a qualified instructor in France like how much experience you bring to teaching, how long you’ve lived abroad with no intention of returning home anytime soon, etc. In short, qualifications vary greatly and depend heavily upon personal preference rather than anything else. That said, in Canada things are slightly easier because most cities in Ontario and Quebec already use the official Canadian curriculum to decide whether or not somebody qualifies to work as a licensed teacher. However, in the rest of provinces, this information isn’t available for anybody to see unless they pay to find out. And since nobody pays to find out, the only way to figure this stuff out without paying is through word of mouth, so I’m assuming that everybody’s talking about the same thing. Anyway back to topic. Being ’qualified’ usually requires passing several courses and taking at least 2 years worth, usually 3, before receiving official certification. These courses tend to range anywhere from $2K-$7k per course (for the average person), depending on the university offering them.
1. Find A Private Teacher Who Has Experience Teaching Students Of Different Ages.
If you want to learn a foreign language like French but you lack experience teaching other people, consider finding an experienced teacher who specializes in teaching kids. If you are interested in studying in St. Albert because your children go to school there, find someone with expertise in working with younger learners.
2. Focus On Practicing Conversations And Conversation Skills In Real Life Settings.
When taking classes online or through a private instructor, one must be prepared for the fact that they won’t get immediate feedback from classmates and teachers regarding pronunciation issues. Therefore, practice conversations and conversation skills outside of the classroom setting to hone those areas and become comfortable speaking French.
3. Make Your Classes Regularly Scheduled.
Scheduling regular study sessions helps keep motivation high and ensures consistency. Set aside at least 30 minutes per day to work towards building a solid foundation and practicing conversational abilities.
4. Take Advantage Of Free Resources Like Online Courses Or Video Lessons From Youtube For Learning New Vocabulary.
There is no shortage of quality information for anyone seeking to improve their level of proficiency. Whether you prefer video tutorials or text, there exists plenty of content to help you reach your desired outcome. Take full advantage of these online sources and watch French videos, read articles written by experts, listen to podcasts, or browse blogs for inspiration.
5. Keep Track Of What You’ve Learned So You Can Apply It When Needed.
Keep detailed notes about everything learned during class or study sessions.
However it still requires some planning ahead because you’ll then be meeting face to face every day, rather than online.
At first this might seem like a problem but once you get used to the practice sessions, it becomes easier and less distracting; plus, you end up building better relationships which will benefit both parties long after the course finishes!
If you’re serious about getting fluent in another language there’s no substitute for spending hours immersed in immersion classes. They really work and many people study for years just trying to achieve native fluency without getting stuck somewhere along the way. But even these methods often miss out the real “wow” factor - those times when you actually use the language to communicate something meaningful or to solve problems. These experiences are invaluable and, unlike anything else, take place outside the classroom.
We offer both online and face-to-face versions of most of our courses. Whatever style fits you best, we’ve got something waiting for you. From casual to intensive training, if it involves studying French, we’re ready to accommodate.
What makes us unique:
• Personal attention and support through every step of the way.
• Accessibility to live instructors via webcam whenever desired (for Online Courses).
• All levels catered to. No matter who you are, wherever you come from, whether you speak English already or not -- anyone can benefit from joining our community. And, our curriculum covers practically anything and everything related to getting you speaking & writing confidently in French without feeling overwhelmed. As long as you’d love to practice it in front of someone else...we guarantee satisfaction.
Areas Covered include basic grammatical structures and phrases: pronouns, articles, prepositions, adverbs, conjunctions, irregular verbs, noun inflections and verb tenses, common expressions, vocabulary acquisition including food/drink terms, shopping/services terms, leisure/sports terms, travel, numbers, colours, days of week and months, seasons, holidays, weather...the list goes on!.

Who Should Adopt TutorOne’s Tutoring Methodology?
Every parent knows that the average public school education system has its faults, but few know that there are alternatives. Every year, parents become educated more about the effectiveness of individualizing children’s education. They understand that learning styles and learning strategies vary greatly among students and that students require additional focus and encouragement to excel, especially in subjects such as math, science, and reading. Students learn differently than adults; children absorb knowledge faster and retain it longer than adults can; and they’re less prone to procrastination. TutorOne’s comprehensive approach teaches kids to think positively, and teaches students when they don’t perform up to par.
Testimonial By A Parent Like You
"My son recently turned 15, and started taking Advanced Placement exams. He was doing quite poorly in Spanish II and English III, having scored only a 2 and 3 respectively. With one week left before he needed to take the AP test, I decided to enroll him in TutorOne Private Tutoring. His teacher had told me that he was a bright kid, but just didn’t put forth the effort required to excel. My son came home every day telling me about the amazing learning experience he was having with TutorOne. He did score a 4 on his Spanish II test, and his overall grade point average went from a 2.9 (D) to a 4.8 (A+) in Spanish, and a 1.7 (F) to a 4.0 (A) in English. Most importantly though, my son learned to love his studies and got a kick out of seeing his grades soaring. It was truly eye opening to see how one lesson per week changed everything." ~ Lisa H.,Parent, California
The TutorOne Difference
As you are now finding out, TutorOne offers a wide variety of different levels, age ranges, and subjects to accommodate all individual learning styles. What sets us apart from other programs is our commitment to educating and encouraging each student’s individuality, curiosity, and enthusiasm for learning. TutorOne is committed to the belief that every student thrives best in a positive, fun-loving, nurturing learning environment. We encourage our students to explore new ideas and engage in hands-on learning situations. TutorOne does not believe that children benefit from being confined to a class room in front of a standard curriculum all day long.
The TutorOne Difference is about creating an engaging atmosphere in which kids feel motivated to excel. The majority of TutorOne schools operate as small academies; they offer individual learning environments that allow students to interact within a group or with one-to-one tutors.
