French Tutoring Tantallon FAQs
We understand just how busy life gets — especially during high school, college, university, grad studies, and work. Our goal through flexible scheduling options is to ensure that no student misses class because they simply missed a lesson due to schedule changes.
Flexibility isn’t something every language program offers — but with TutorOne, it’s standard practice. We offer both full-time programs as well as part-time programs tailored to each client.
When choosing which program suits you best, consider our following factors:
Program Duration & Frequency: We provide both short term & long-term courses available daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly/half yearly/yearly. Each course includes a 30 minute assessment period prior to a 15-minute discussion, allowing your tutor enough time to evaluate you individually and offer feedback on the material covered. Your instructor(s), depending upon availability, will be able to answer questions related to French grammar & vocabulary.
Cost: As tuition varies from location to location, please contact our office for details. Tuition prices typically vary per day rate and length. For example, a 1 hour session costs $80; a 2 hours cost will average $100 per session; and a 4 hour session is around $140. If you’d prefer a monthly subscription instead of hourly sessions, we charge $250-$350 per month.
Language Level Requirement, Certification(if applicable): All courses include a written examination after completion in order for you to receive credit towards graduation requirements.
Accredited Courses: While most colleges accept credits earned outside Canada, the majority will only recognize Canadian institutions.
Students interested in studying abroad should be aware of the costs associated with international travel. Most programs charge fees ranging $1,000-$5,500 per semester or summer term. A good alternative to travelling internationally is taking language courses through a local university in order to learn another culture’s customs or history. These classes typically cost around $200 per credit hour. If travelling abroad interests you and funds aren’t a concern, check with a few universities to find out which schools offer exchange programs. For example, McGill University runs an exchange program that provides scholarships for foreign nationals who wish to study in Canada. Learn more about this program here: http://www.mcgilluqeexchangeprogram.ca/en/.
For those living abroad, consider enrolling at McGill University to receive academic credits towards graduation. Credits transfer easily from Canadian institutions; however, they cannot be used to fulfill degree requirements for undergraduate studies at the U.S.’s Ivy League colleges or other American schools. Students wishing to pursue postgraduate degrees must apply for graduate admissions to the specific institution. Tuition rates vary widely across different fields of study; however, most postgraduates pay approximately $6,400 annually. Visit https://studentservices.mcgill.ca/international_education/applyforcreditstransfer/ for additional information.

Although these statistics seem promising, they fail to capture the true potential of French across North America today. According to Statistics Canada, only 1/10 Canadians aged 25 years old or older speaks English at home as his or her mother tongue. These numbers continue to decrease every decade as well, leading to significant disparities amongst provinces.
Given the above mentioned information, it’s safe to say that studying French language in Tantallon NS is no longer considered “quaint” but rather crucial to one’s employment prospects in modern day business world and career advancement opportunities. So why wait until 2022 to take action?!? If you’ve ever thought of having a better grasp on French grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation & usage then we invite you to enroll yourself in a French course with us and prepare yourself for greater prospects in life beyond graduation.

Here’s some exciting news about our upcoming eBook release. A few weeks ago, we sent a special sneak peak newsletter to subscribers of our email course called “Start Your Own Business”. Today we thought we would pass along a couple tidbits of information regarding these newsletters because many of our readers expressed interest in reading them. Read below for more info on both topics!
First thing first -- You’ll be pleased to hear that we decided to include the free report “How My First Website Turned Into $3 Million+ Per Month Profits!” as part of the course because of reader demand. So if you haven’t read it yet... well, you better check it out now! Here’s the link if you need it: https://www.themanifestmentary.com/yourfirstwebsite
Second piece of good news.
1. Start early! If you wait until February 10th (which happens to be Valentine’s Day!) chances are your class schedule won’t work perfectly. Instead, I recommend starting as soon as possible because some classes like Intro French 1B begin earlier than Feb 13th.
2. Pick Your Own Path When picking a path for your language studies, remember that there are many paths available – both online and offline courses. Make sure that which ever path you pick, you’re willing to commit to. Most of my student friends started with the Online Programs because they knew they could drop out whenever without hurting their GPA. However, most teachers say that if you really learn the Language then you shouldn’t worry too much about quitting. So take this into consideration!
3. Don’t Be Afraid Of “Useless” Vocabulary As long as you practice, you’ll improve. Even though you’ve memorized tons of words during past years of high school French, you still haven’t practiced those vocabulary enough. For example, I was once told by a teacher that knowing the word “la d’argent” (“the deaing“) isn’t useful since the sentence ends after the first part, making it redundant. And he said all good speakers use the shorter form instead. While it’s true that sometimes, saying la dégringolade instead of la décadence is better English, you should always go back to basics every now and then to refresh your memory. Because the key point of learning French isn’t to just recite vocabulary but rather to understand sentences (and have fun doing it!).
4. Learn From Video Courses On YouTube One great way to keep motivated and find motivation for studying French would be watching video tutorials on Youtube.
• Discover ways to connect conversationally without breaking concentration while learning French vocabulary words and practicing grammar rules on various topics and occasions.
If you’re interested in becoming proficient enough to carry on a casual conversation, this course should be just the thing for you!
This comprehensive curriculum includes 30 individual lessons designed to help improve your grade level French language proficiency by building basic conversational ability. We’ll cover everything ranging from common greetings, travel essentials,...
Learning French through classes like this gives you a real advantage whenever you take a test or job interview!
There’s no better way to learn French than through spoken practice, which makes conversations fun, engaging, and effective tools for improving both pronunciation and fluency.
We guarantee that you can master these everyday uses in less than 12 months through this program!
Beginners often begin with phrases they already understand; however, mastering vocabulary requires lots of repetition and reinforcement.
Using dialogue boxes is an excellent method for quickly memorising key vocabulary and sentence structures.
So we’ve made this program full of examples of authentic spoken dialogues—just pull up on it to hear yourself speak!
To ensure consistency across every lesson, multiple strategies for the same phrase / word combination have been provided to provide instant insight whenever you run into trouble.
And our online forums allow us to keep track of individual student needs and feedback on the effectiveness of our teaching methods.
Our unique grading system tracks your progress towards mastery, allowing you to see exactly how far you still have to go.
When you enroll today, we’ll send you an email with your login details. When ready, simply click ’Log In’ from inside our courses directory to get started anytime. After completing 10 different lessons, our team will award you 100% bonus points toward your final exam score.* We guarantee that after working through this curriculum you’ll score well above 90%.
Why Private Lessons Will Work For Your Child: If they’ve already started studying French in school then chances are good they’re ready for private lessons. As long as you have some basic knowledge yourself you’ll be able to provide tips and encouragement along the way. With these sessions lasting anywhere from 1 hour to 3 hours depending upon your child’s level, the focus is always on them rather than someone else teaching them.
We offer several different methods of instruction including: 1 Hour Private Lessons ($60/hr), 2 Hours Private Lessons ($90/hr), 4 Hour Blocks of Instruction ($140/day) and 5 Day Intensive Courses (starting at $250). All classes begin and end promptly every day and they are tailored towards helping you reach maximum proficiency in French.
How Much Should They Spend Per Year?: Depending on your child’s age and their experience level you should expect to spend anywhere from $100-$600 per week on lessons. Most younger children learn quickly but they won’t need as many lessons and older teens and adults tend to take longer depending on their skill levels. We can help estimate approximate costs though! Please contact us here and tell us your child’s ages.
What About Learning Resources?: Of course you can find great books written specifically for young learners, videos online, and apps, but nothing compares to having a live instructor guiding you through exercises. Our programs include many opportunities for homework assignments and practice quizzes which helps ensure mastery prior to moving onto lesson topics. We do however, recommend reading materials as well; especially since it is often easier to pick something up during lessons versus trying to memorize material ahead of time.
We teach everything including elementary school language arts and math, middle school science and English, high school humanities and AP/IB test prep, college Algebra 1, Chemistry 2, Physics C & D, Calculus AB, and Statistics. From these basics, students learn conversational fluency while mastering the core concepts behind various fields — including literature, art history, philosophy, music theory and composition, mathematics, biology, chemistry and physics — to help prepare them for further study and careers in STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths), business administration or international development in places like Canada, France, Germany, Spain, China, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Mexico and South America; and many other countries worldwide.
Whether you’re just starting out with French studies or considering continuing your studies overseas, we’d love to work wih you towards improving your scores in key areas -- whether those improve reading comprehension and vocabulary, increase speaking abilities, enhance writing, or enable better understanding of cultural differences among native speakers. Learn more about why people find studying abroad with TutorOne incredible fun, fulfilling, empowering experience.

Who Should Adopt TutorOne’s Tutoring Methodology?
Every parent knows that the average public school education system has its faults, but few know that there are alternatives. Every year, parents become educated more about the effectiveness of individualizing children’s education. They understand that learning styles and learning strategies vary greatly among students and that students require additional focus and encouragement to excel, especially in subjects such as math, science, and reading. Students learn differently than adults; children absorb knowledge faster and retain it longer than adults can; and they’re less prone to procrastination. TutorOne’s comprehensive approach teaches kids to think positively, and teaches students when they don’t perform up to par.
Testimonial By A Parent Like You
"My son recently turned 15, and started taking Advanced Placement exams. He was doing quite poorly in Spanish II and English III, having scored only a 2 and 3 respectively. With one week left before he needed to take the AP test, I decided to enroll him in TutorOne Private Tutoring. His teacher had told me that he was a bright kid, but just didn’t put forth the effort required to excel. My son came home every day telling me about the amazing learning experience he was having with TutorOne. He did score a 4 on his Spanish II test, and his overall grade point average went from a 2.9 (D) to a 4.8 (A+) in Spanish, and a 1.7 (F) to a 4.0 (A) in English. Most importantly though, my son learned to love his studies and got a kick out of seeing his grades soaring. It was truly eye opening to see how one lesson per week changed everything." ~ Lisa H.,Parent, California
The TutorOne Difference
As you are now finding out, TutorOne offers a wide variety of different levels, age ranges, and subjects to accommodate all individual learning styles. What sets us apart from other programs is our commitment to educating and encouraging each student’s individuality, curiosity, and enthusiasm for learning. TutorOne is committed to the belief that every student thrives best in a positive, fun-loving, nurturing learning environment. We encourage our students to explore new ideas and engage in hands-on learning situations. TutorOne does not believe that children benefit from being confined to a class room in front of a standard curriculum all day long.
The TutorOne Difference is about creating an engaging atmosphere in which kids feel motivated to excel. The majority of TutorOne schools operate as small academies; they offer individual learning environments that allow students to interact within a group or with one-to-one tutors.
