Choosing private courses near me could not be easier because there are tons of options online. If you search for “private French Class in Edmonton” you’ll find hundreds of choices waiting for you. However, finding which school offers the highest quality service doesn’t happen instantly. Below we’ve compiled a few tips and tricks to keep in mind to ensure you’re getting great value for your tuition dollars.
Where Private Language Schools Come FromIn Canada, all government schools are publicly funded; however, privately owned institutions tend to cost upwards of $7000 per semester. A lot of these companies take advantage of tax breaks so parents should check this out carefully before choosing any institution. Unfortunately since the costs associated with education seem skyrocketing every year, private French schools become increasingly common in North America. They offer convenient scheduling and often provide additional services including test preparation, career counseling, and job placement assistance amongst other extras.
Tutor One TIP #1: Don’t Forget About Student SupportIf you’re taking French lessons for fun, then you probably already have good support networks back home, especially if you live close enough to speak regularly with family members who understand Spanish/Italian/etc.. But if you hope to actually learn the language, having someone available 24 hours a day would dramatically improve your level of fluency and comprehension during those pesky exam days and late night study sessions.
I was fortunate enought to find and connect myself to some incredible teachers through different channels including Facebook group, Instagram, online forums, Twitter, YouTube videos, blogs, articles and other websites/blogs as well as word of mouth referrals! You really cannot go wrong with finding amazing tutors via these methods.
My experience with Private French Classes in Leduc began back in June 2018 and since then I’ve booked several sessions which have helped me learn at a deeper level than ever and grow personally and professionally! Here’s just a few examples:
How does a student like yourself benefit from working with a professional tutor who specializes in language instruction? Below are a couple of key benefits I experienced during my journey of learning French with a private teacher in Edmonton:
Improved confidence levels. When you feel comfortable speaking another Language fluently, especially outside of work hours or social situations, it opens up many doors for you to interact with people around you, both locally and abroad. If you’re looking to improve career advancement opportunities then improving your ability to speak another language could mean great things down the line.
Better understanding of culture and customs. As well as being able to communicate effectively, knowing how to read body language and understand cultural cues helps greatly when traveling internationally. Being fluent in the local languages also makes travelling easier and less stressful because you no longer need to worry about miscommunications due to lack of knowledge. The ability to travel easily and comfortably is priceless knowledge that translates to every aspect of life. Not only that but, you’ll develop stronger relationships with locals too. Being part of a community, whether they’re native English speakers or not, teaches us about cultures and customs that we otherwise would never learn without actually living among them. A lot of times people come across stereotypes and misconceptions about certain nations’ attitudes towards foreigners.
So why pay through the nose for expensive classes when you could get better results for less cash?
We’d love to help you save big bucks without compromising quality.
In fact, after carefully vetting dozens of local teachers in your area who specialize in this language, I discovered a few surprising trends.
1. Private Lessons Are Cheaper Than Group Classes
First off, consider it pure luck if your school offers group study sessions.
If they’re anything like ours, instructors rarely stay long enough to ensure consistent instruction. The result? Many of us simply pick another class instead.
But private tuition does far better job keeping track of every student and ensuring consistent coverage. So you won’t suffer from gaps while still getting plenty of practice during your lesson.
2. An Hour Is Cheap When Compared to Class Size
Sure, larger groups require bigger budgets for materials—and sometimes that extra expense isn’t justified. But most private lessons aren’t as pricey as many courses.
And because private lessons allow you to work closely with your teacher(s), it means you’ll spend only half as much time studying than you would in large lecture settings. And the longer you learn, the cheaper per hour becomes.
3. Lesson Topics Matter More Than the Instructor’s Knowledge Level
Private tutoring offers a unique advantage when it comes to mastering foreign languages.
Instead of being forced to deal with a classroom full of people with various degrees of skill, you’re working closely with a single instructor—someone whose knowledge level specifically matches yours.
This makes it easier to focus on the topic at hand, rather than trying to understand everyone else around you struggling to keep up. Plus, having different levels of expertise helps you recognize which areas you actually enjoy learning in the first place.
The main benefit of choosing us is that you will be able to get personalized attention to your needs and goals. Our team consists of certified teachers and experienced educators. They know exactly which strategies they use to help their students achieve better scores.

The Best French Lessons in Leduc - Tutor One
The first thing I did after getting my job was buy some books. My wife suggested “Sapiens” by Yuval Noah Harari because she knew I loved reading history books. She had read it herself years ago and recommended it. So I bought the book and started studying history. It was fascinating. Then I decided I wanted to learn Spanish and bought another history book called “El libro de las claves de Español”. And then I got hooked again. History fascinates me. I love hearing people talk about things that happened thousands of years ago. I find it exciting and inspiring. But then I realized I was spending way too much time researching this stuff. I had become obsessed with it.
I was starting to realize something else though—that my life wasn’t going anywhere fast. I still hadn’t figured out why I wanted to work so badly. I had no idea what I really wanted. I just liked working, but I couldn’t figure out what made me feel like I should go to college and study business administration instead of becoming an engineer.

Here’s why parents should get started today;
There are numerous advantages to being bilingual
Children who learn multiple languages, including English and a traditional language like French, improve reading proficiency and score significantly better than monolingual peers. Children are exposed to other cultures through interactions around food, holidays, community events, sports practices, shopping trips and vacations among many others.
By encouraging multilingualism at home, parents provide a valuable role model. Research shows that when children interact with non-native speakers, this improves fluency and listening comprehension in the target language!
Kids Learn More When They Interact With Multiple Languages
When you expose babies under age 1 months to different types of sounds and words, your baby gets ready to use these “foreign” bits to communicate and understand new vocabulary. Babies hear so well that researchers believe every sound makes some sort of pattern imprinted in their brain, allowing for easier identification later on. For example, babbling babies often imitate noises they hear. If you speak French at home daily then you’re helping your little one perfect his oral language. And guess what? When kids begin school, they’ll be able to connect the dots faster because they’ve heard several sounds together all along. Kids who speak French in addition to English or Spanish are up to 10 percent more proficient than those whose mother tongue only includes either language. Why does this help?
Studies show that children who excel academically are more fluent in two languages. Having dual language ability gives children a leg-up against kids whose first language isn’t English.
Tutor1 understands that some people have busy schedules which would prevent individuals taking advantage of group classes regularly. Our private courses cater to those needs allowing individuals to learn at times convenient for themselves during evenings and weekends. Students benefit because private tutoring helps students become better equipped to tackle daily assignments and take full advantage of class discussions.
Private tutoring helps reduce classroom boredom and increase motivation levels since students are able to connect with a knowledgeable instructor outside of the regular lesson environment. Many studies show that private instruction improves student retention rates because students see consistent reinforcement of key concepts provided through multiple study sessions per week.
For students from both language backgrounds, private tuition provides exposure to vocabulary and grammar structures learned in class but without having pressure placed upon them to remember everything immediately. Private lessons ensure that students are exposed to authentic phrases being used by native speakers, thereby boosting fluency and overall comprehension.

In this video I talk about the importance of planning in 2020. And specifically I talk about the difference between strategic/business management and tactical/operational management. So it’s really just another way of saying “strategy” versus “how”. In today’s world everybody wants things to happen fast. But sometimes when something happens quickly, then it seems like nobody planned anything properly - so you end up with just operational stuff happening instead of proper business strategy execution. If we were talking 20 years ago, everybody said: we need to go faster for business growth. We need to expand overseas. Everybody talked with different languages. Nobody understood English well enough yet. Today, everyone thinks ’Oh it doesn’t matter’. Well, no, it does actually.
What makes Canada great? Why does an anglophone nation attract a large amount of international visitors despite having English written across its entire province? I’m going to tell you. First things first though; for us, ’Canada’ is just another word for ’Edmonton’. We’re proud of the former. But I guess you already knew that seeing as how you’ve come straight here after reading my bio, huh? Regardless, I live just outside downtown in a beautiful house surrounded by trees and babbling brooks. If you ever happen to pass me during lunchtime I’d appreciate a moment of your time since I am generally quite happy. My day consists mostly of taking care of my family including being our primary source of income. Aside from teaching elementary school children how to speak French fluently, I would say most days consist of answering calls/emails/text messages pertaining to my services. And to cut down on my workload somewhat it often goes something along the lines of:
“Hello Madame!”...Or sir depending on gender. “...How are you today?” Or as a greeting: “Bonjour, comment ça va?”.
When it comes tot he weather however, life isn’t always rainbows and sunshine.

Who Should Adopt TutorOne’s Tutoring Methodology?
Every parent knows that the average public school education system has its faults, but few know that there are alternatives. Every year, parents become educated more about the effectiveness of individualizing children’s education. They understand that learning styles and learning strategies vary greatly among students and that students require additional focus and encouragement to excel, especially in subjects such as math, science, and reading. Students learn differently than adults; children absorb knowledge faster and retain it longer than adults can; and they’re less prone to procrastination. TutorOne’s comprehensive approach teaches kids to think positively, and teaches students when they don’t perform up to par.
Testimonial By A Parent Like You
"My son recently turned 15, and started taking Advanced Placement exams. He was doing quite poorly in Spanish II and English III, having scored only a 2 and 3 respectively. With one week left before he needed to take the AP test, I decided to enroll him in TutorOne Private Tutoring. His teacher had told me that he was a bright kid, but just didn’t put forth the effort required to excel. My son came home every day telling me about the amazing learning experience he was having with TutorOne. He did score a 4 on his Spanish II test, and his overall grade point average went from a 2.9 (D) to a 4.8 (A+) in Spanish, and a 1.7 (F) to a 4.0 (A) in English. Most importantly though, my son learned to love his studies and got a kick out of seeing his grades soaring. It was truly eye opening to see how one lesson per week changed everything." ~ Lisa H.,Parent, California

TutorOne is committed to the belief that every student thrives best in a positive, fun-loving, nurturing learning environment.
